Type species: Dichecephala abyssinica Brenske, 1895 (= D. bilaminifrons (Ancey, 1883)); by monotypy.

Distribution: Ethiopian region.

Remark: The genus Dichecephala was originally described as a member of the tribe Diphucephalini Burmeister, 1855 . Later, Moser (1918) synonymized it with the genus Catagonia and transferred it to the tribe Diplotaxini .
