Comments: The holotype of E. (B.) ignotus has strongly narrowed elytral bases and the glabrous pronotum lacking median antebasal fovea and the antebasal sulcus that are consistent with members of the genus Gastrobothrus Broun. Here we formally transfer this species from Eupines to Gastrobothrus .
