Adults, nymphs and larvae have been collected from Lagomorpha: Leporidae; adults and larvae have been taken from Carnivora: Felidae; adult ticks alone have been found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae, Carnivora: Canidae, and Perissodactyla: Equidae; larvae and nymphs have been taken from Macroscelidea: Macroscelididae, Rodentia: Muridae, and Passeriformes: Alaudidae; and nymphs alone have been collected from Rodentia: Pedetidae . Rhipicephalus warburtoni is a very rare parasite of humans.
