78. Rhipicephalus theileri Bedford and Hewitt, 1925.

An Afrotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Carnivora: Herpestidae, and Rodentia: Sciuridae . Adults and nymphs have been collected from Carnivora: Canidae; adults alone have been taken from Mammalia (several orders). There are no records of Rhipicephalus theileri causing human parasitism.
