A Palearctic species whose adults and nymphs are usually found on Lagomorpha: Leporidae . All parasitic stages have been recovered from Lagomorpha: Leporidae; adults and nymphs
have been taken from Carnivora: Canidae; adult ticks alone have been collected from Mammalia (several orders). There are no records of Rhipicephalus leporis causing human parasitism.
