39. Rhipicephalus kohlsi (Hoogstraal and Kaiser, 1960) .
An Afrotropical and Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae, but they have been also collected from Artiodactyla: Camelidae and Cervidae, and Perissodactyla: Equidae . There are no records of Rhipicephalus kohlsi causing human parasitism.

Note: Camicas et al. (1998) treat Rhipicephalus kohlsi (under the name Boophilus kohlsi) as a Palearctic species, but Guglielmone et al. (2014) state that it has also been found in the Afrotropical Region.
