36. Rhipicephalus interventus Walker, Pegram and Keirans, 1995 .

An Afrotropical species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae, but they have also been collected from Carnivora: Canidae . There are no records of Rhipicephalus interventus causing human parasitism.

Note: Walker et al. (1995) asserted that specimens of Rhipicephalus interventus may be deposited in several tick collections under the names Rhipicephalus lunulatus or Rhipicephalus tricuspis .
