An Afrotropical species whose adults are usually found on Carnivora: Canidae, but they have also been collected from Carnivora: Viverridae, Artiodactyla: Bovidae, and Primates: Cercopithecidae . There are no records of Rhipicephalus moucheti causing human parasitism.
