F: Theiler (1947), Elbl and Anastos (1966c), Matthysse and Colbo (1987), Walker et al. (2000); see note below Note: Elbl and Anastos (1966c) state that some specimens of Rhipicephalus ziemanni collected by them were of the “ Rhipicephalus aurantiacus type.” Camicas et al. (1998) listed the nymph of Rhipicephalus ziemanni as described, but we accept the opinion of Walker et al. (2000), who state that it remains undescribed. See also Rhipicephalus aurantiacus for that species’ proposed synonymy with Rhipicephalus ziemanni .
