25. Hyalomma somalicum Tonelli Rondelli, 1935 .

An Afrotropical species whose adults have been found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae and Camelidae, and Perissodactyla: Equidae . There are no records of Hyalomma somalicum causing human parasitism.

Note: following the study of Kaiser and Hoogstraal (1968), Hyalomma somalicum was usually identified as Hyalomma erythraeum Tonelli Rondelli 1932, but Apanaskevich and Horak (2009) found that Hyalomma erythraeum is a synonym of Hyalomma impeltatum, and reinstated Hyalomma somalicum as a valid species.
