A Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae; adults and nymphs have been collected from Perissodactyla: Equidae, while adult ticks alone have been recovered from Carnivora: Felidae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis kopetdaghica causing human parasitism.
