53. Haemaphysalis garhwalensis Dhanda and Bhat, 1968a .

An Oriental and Palearctic species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae, but all parasitic stages have been collected from Rodentia: Cricetidae (adult ticks rarely), while larvae and nymphs have been recovered from Rodentia: Muridae . Adults alone have been collected from Bovidae, and Perissodactyla: Equidae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis garhwalensis causing human parasitism.
