62. Haemaphysalis houyi Nuttall and Warburton, 1915 .
An Afrotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Rodentia: Sciuridae . Adults and nymphs have been collected from Rodentia: Muridae, and Soricomorpha: Soricidae; adults alone have been recovered from Erinaceomorpha: Erinaceidae, and Carnivora: Mustelidae and Viverridae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis houyi causing human parasitism.
