58. Haemaphysalis hispanica Gill Collado, 1938 .

A Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Lagomorpha: Leporidae . Adults alone have been found rarely on Strigiformes: Strigidae, and larvae on Accipitriformes: Accipitridae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis hispanica causing human parasitism.
