An Oriental species whose adults and immature stages have been found on Carnivora: Canidae and Mustelidae, and Rodentia: Muridae; adults alone have been collected from Artiodactyla: Bovidae, Carnivora: Viverridae, and Rodentia: Sciuridae; immature stages alone have been recovered from Carnivora: Herpestidae, and Soricomorpha: Soricidae . Haemaphysalis heinrichi is a very rare parasite of humans.
