Note: Kolonin (2003, 2009) states that the figures of the male of Haemaphysalis darjeeling in Tanskul and Inlao (1989) are closer to Haemaphysalis quadriaculeata than to Haemaphysalis darjeeling; nevertheless, the questioned figure in Tanskul and Inlao (1989) closely matches the original description of the male of Haemaphysalis darjeeling in Hoogstraal and Dhanda (1970) .
