119. Haemaphysalis parmata Neumann, 1905 .

An Afrotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae . Adults alone have been collected on Squamata: Elapidae, while immature stages have been recovered from Bucerotiformes: Bucorvidae, Passeriformes: Strildidae and Viduidae, and Squamata: Atractaspididae (Guglielmone & Robbins 2018, Horak et al. 2018). Haemaphysalis parmata is a very rare parasite of humans.
