114. Haemaphysalis ornithophila Hoogstraal and Kohls, 1959 .

An Oriental and Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages, including the undescribed larva, have been found on Galliformes: Phasianidae; adults and nymphs have been collected from Passeriformes: Turdidae, adults alone have been recovered from Passeriformes: Pittidae, Chloropseidae and Turdidae; Artiodactyla: Bovidae, Carnivora: Mustelidae, and Lagomorpha: Leporidae (Guglielmone et al. 2014, Kuo et al. 2017). There are no records of Haemaphysalis ornithophila causing human parasitism.
