An Oriental and Palearctic species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae; larvae and nymphs are commonly recovered from Lagomorpha: Ochotonidae . Adults have also been found on Carnivora: Canidae, while immature stages have also been recovered from Bovidae, Lagomorpha: Leporidae, and Rodentia: Calomyscidae, Cricetidae, Gliridae and Muridae . Dermacentor raskemensis is a rare parasite of humans.
