36. Haemaphysalis cornupunctata Hoogstraal and Varma, 1962 .

An Oriental and Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae, but they have also been collected from Perissodactyla: Equidae; nymphs have been recovered from Rodentia: Muridae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis cornupunctata causing human parasitism.
