An Oriental species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Rodentia: Muridae . Adults and immature stages have been collected from Scandentia: Tupaiidae, and Carnivora: Herpestidae; adults alone have been recovered from Artiodactyla: Bovidae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis bandicota causing human parasitism.
