A Neotropical species whose adults are usually found on Perissodactyla: Tapiridae; immature stages have been collected from Tapiridae, Artiodactyla: Cervidae, Carnivora: Canidae, Felidae and Procyonidae, and Didelphimorphia: Didelphidae . Amblyomma incisum is a sporadic parasite of humans.
