Note: Amblyomma geayi, Amblyomma longirostre, Amblyomma parkeri and Amblyomma romarioi are morphologically similar species, and separation of adults and especially immature stages is difficult. The larvae of Amblyomma sp., haplotype Nazaré collected from passerines in Ogrzewalska et al. (2012) and others correspond, in fact, to Amblyomma romarioi .
