238. Ixodes trichosuri Roberts, 1960 .

An Australasian species whose adults are usually found on Diprotodontia: Phalangeridae . Adults and larvae have been taken from Rodentia: Muridae; immature stages have also been collected from Phalangeridae, as well as Diprotodontia: Potoroidae, and Peramelemorphia: Peramelidae (Guglielmone & Robbins 2018, Harvey et al. 2019). There are no bona fide records of Ixodes trichosuri feeding on humans.
