126. Ixodes lewisi Arthur, 1965 .

An Afrotropical species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae; the undescribed larva and nymph have also been collected from Bovidae; adults alone have been recovered from Artiodactyla: Giraffidae, Carnivora: Canidae and Felidae, and Hyracoidea: Procaviidae . There are no records of Ixodes lewisi causing human parasitism.
