150. Ixodes muniensis Arthur and Burrow, 1957 .
An Afrotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages have been found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae, Carnivora: Canidae and Herpestidae, and Rodentia: Nesomyidae; adults and larvae have been collected from Carnivora: Felidae; adults alone have been recovered from Artiodactyla: Giraffidae and Suidae, and Carnivora: Viverridae; immature stages have been found on Hyracoidea: Procaviidae, Primates: Hominidae, Rodentia: Gliridae, Muridae and Sciuridae, and Galliformes: Numididae (Matthysse & Colbo 1987, Guglielmone et al. 2014). Ixodes muniensis is a very rare parasite of humans.
