An Oriental and Palearctic species whose adults have been found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae, and Carnivora: Canidae; nymphs have been collected from Rodentia: Muridae, and rarely from Squamata: Agamidae . Ixodes kashmiricus is a rare parasite of humans.
