A Neotropical species whose females have been found on Passeriformes: Turdidae and Thraupidae, and Trogoniformes: Trogonidae (Guglielmone et al. 2014, Bermúdez et al. 2018). There are no records of Ixodes bequaerti causing human parasitism.
