25. Ixodes banksi Bishopp, 1911 .

A Nearctic species whose adults and nymphs are usually found on Rodentia: Castoridae, although those stages have also been collected from Carnivora: Mustelidae, and Rodentia: Cricetidae . Undetermined stages have been recovered from Rodentia: Felidae (Guglielmone et al. 2014, Little et al. 2018). Ixodes banksi is a rare parasite of humans.
