24. Ixodes bakeri Arthur and Clifford, 1961 .

An Afrotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages have been found on Soricomorpha: Soricidae, and Rodentia: Muridae, with a single record of a female tick from Macroscelidea: Macroscelididae . There are no records of Ixodes bakeri causing human parasitism.
