82. Ixodes fecialis Warburton and Nuttall, 1909 .

An Australasian species, all of whose parasitic stages have been found on Rodentia: Muridae; adults and nymphs have been collected from Dasyuromorphia: Dasyuridae, and Peramelemorphia: Peramelidae; adults alone have been recovered from Carnivora: Felidae, and Diprotodontia: Potoroidae; nymphs alone have been found on Dasyuromorphia: Myrmecobiidae; undetermined stages have been taken from Carnivora: Canidae; Diprotodontia: Macropodidae and Phalangeridae, and Perissodactyla: Equidae (Guglielmone et al. 2014, Ash et al. 2017). Ixodes fecialis is a very rare parasite of humans.
