Chlamydopteryx eurobium Kirkaldy
(Fig. 8)
Chlamydopteryx eurobium Kirkaldy 1907: 103 .
Type material examined. 1 female syntype “Cairns, Q. / Austr. 8.1904.” “Chlamydop - / teryx / eurobium / Kirk. / Ƥ 449. / holotype ” (BPBM)
Distribution. Queensland.
Note. In his original description, Kirkaldy (1907) provides a note that the male has the “pygophore as in C. ridicularis ”. This indicates that he examined at least one male. The specimen labelled as “ holotype ” has not been validated as such by publication and is here regarded as a syntype. If a male specimen can be found in BPBM matching the original collection details, then it is available to be designated as lectotype.
