Australophiotaenia sp. 7
Host. Black-headed python, Aspidites melanocephalus (Krefft, 1864) ( Ophidia: Pythonidae).
Distribution. Australia (West Australia).
Material studied. One fragmented incomplete specimen (five proglottids, one whole-mount) from Perth Zoo, 31.3.1998 (MUP X 98/02).
Remarks. This fragmented, incomplete specimen without a scolex is in a poor state of preservation and not suitable for reliable morphological description. This morphotype may represent a new species that is typified by a large cirrus-sac, the length of which represents 45–55% of the proglottid width, i.e. the cirrus-sac may overpass the middle line of proglottid.
