Remarks. Most of the records of E. fasciatus from Bulgaria should be referred to the closely related species E. litoralis but the possibility that either fasciatus or grossipes (more likely grossipes) occurs in Bulgaria cannot be excluded. E. litoralis is widespread in southeastern Bulgaria, but it seems absent from the central and northern regions of the country. That is why the records of Kaczmarek alone are formally referred to E. fasciatus .
