Tremapterus (Selenion) subgen.nov.

Etymology. selenion (n), little moon.

Type-species. T. longicaudatus sp. nov.

Diagnosis. Robust; face with muscle arcs weakly indicated (as in Fig. 6 F); pronotum finely punctate; tegmina densely pitted, pits aligned in rows, especially on clavi; veins obscure, only central anteapical cell apparent, without bulla; small bulla at apex of clavi; pecten of hind tibia with 9 black-tipped spines. No appreciable sexual dimorphism. Ovipositor with 2nd valvulae straight, as elongate as that of Grellaphia; tip pointed, with 1 low tooth on dorsal margin just beyond midlength (Fig. 11 H). Length: 4–6 mm.

Included taxa. This subgenus is monobasic, the only species being new.
