Phytoseius bennetti De Leon

Specimens examined. Manabao (Cordillera Central), 30-IX-2008, two females and one male on Stigmatophyllum lingulatum (Poir.) Small (Malpighiaceae); one female on an unidentified plant.

Remarks. This species has previously been recorded from El Salvador, Honduras, Martinique, Puerto Rico and Trinidad-Tobago. Characteristics of the specimens collected agree well with the original description of the species. Measurements of three examined females are: Dorsal shield, 252 µm long (240–260), 114 µm wide (114– 115). Setae j1: 17 (16–18), j3: 27 (26–28), j4, j5, j6, J2: 7 (6–8), J5: 7 (6–7), z2: 8 (8–9), z3: 35 (34–37), z4: 10 (10– 11), z5: 7 (7–8), Z4: 45 (45–46), Z5: 50 (48–52), s4: 39 (38–42), s6: 55 (53–58), r3: 31 (29–32), R1: 13 (12–14), JV5: 41 (40–42), St IV: 21 (21–22).
