Comments. This specimen was mislabelled with a type label of Mispila elongata handwritten by Breuning. R. G. Booth, in 1989, recognised that this specimen was in fact the type specimen of M. parallela and marked it with a handwritten label (Figure 10j). Although we were unable to directly observe the terminal ventrite, this holotype may be a male based on the antennae and the lateral view of the abdomen.
