Material. 1♂, South Africa, Limpopo, Hoedspruit, Jongmansspruit farm, em 12/xi/2016, Ekebergia capensis, A. & I. Sharp leg. (rearing: M1591), CLV7578, slide TRB4386 ♂ .

Biology. Ekebergia capensis Sparrm. ( Meliaceae).

Distribution. South Africa (KwaZulu-Natal). First reporting for Limpopo.

DNA barcodes. One specimen barcoded (SOURE022-19) (Table S1). The BIN (BOLD:AEC3372) is new to BOLD and its nearest neighbour is a specimen identified as Conopomorpha litchiella Bradley, 1986 at a genetic distance of 7.37% (Table S1).

Remarks. Abdomen with pouch-like structures at anterior edges of segments V and VI but also with a pair of coremata on segment VIII, not reported by Vári (1961).
