Phodoryctis Kumata & Kuroko, 1988
The genus was described by Kumata et al. (1988b) to include two species found in the Afrotropical and Eastern Palearctic. The first species, Phodoryctis caerulea (Meyrick, 1912), was originally classified under the genus Cyphosticha but has since been reclassified. The second species, P. stephaniae Kumata & Kuroko, 1988, is not found in Africa. The authors also assigned two other Acrocercops species previously described by VĂ¡ri (1961) from South Africa to this genus: P. thrypticosema and P. dolichophila . All species of this genus found in the Afrotropical region are leaf miners of Fabaceae .
