Scaphoideus pingtungisis (Dai and Li, 2011) n. comb.
Bicoloratum pintungisis Dai and Li 2011 [in Li, Dai & Xing, 2011: 49, fig. 5–38(1–9)]
Distribution. China (Taiwan).
Remarks. This species was described by Dai and Li (in Li et al. 2011) from Taiwan based on two male specimens deposited in National Museum of Natural Science (NMNS), Taichung, Taiwan. We were not able to study the type material but according to the original description and illustrations, the shape and appearance of S. pingtungisis is very similar to S. bicoloratus Viraktamath & Mohan. The former differs as follows: (1) face without stripe; (2) style with apophysis very long; (3) aedeagal shaft strongly curved ventrad at middle with pair of apical processes parallel to shaft; (4) processes of connective divergent. This species is also very similar to S. dinghuensis sp. nov. in external shape and male genitalia, but differs as indicated in the description below.
