Argyrogrammana alstonii (Smart, 1979)
(Figs 1–2, 46)
In 2011 a single male was collected at the hilltop while resting on the underside of a leaf about seven meters above the ground, around 18:00h. In 2014 three males were collected in a same day resting on the underside of leaves in the same tree from the record of 2011 around 16:00h.
This rare species was described from Trinidad (Smart 1979) and further recorded in French Guiana (Brévignon & Gallard 1995). The Brazilian specimens of A. alstonii have a dark orange color, like the French Guiana specimens; however, the light blue spot on the upperside of the forewing is larger than the French Guiana specimen (Brévignon & Gallard 1995) and the holotype.
