Acineria punctata Song & Wilbert, 1989

Acineria punctata — Tirjaková & Vďačný 2013a: 670.

Main morphological characters (according to Song & Wilbert 1989). Size 80–180 × 40–60 µm in vivo. Body drop-like to lanceolate with hook-like curved anterior body end and narrowly to broadly rounded posterior body end. Two macronuclear nodules with a single micronucleus in between. Contractile vacuole ventral and subterminal. Extrusomes rod-like, about 10 µm long, scattered in cytoplasm and attached to anterior portion of oral bulge. Somatic ciliary pattern Litonotus -like; about 24–28 right and 6–7 left kineties.

Distribution. As yet this species has been recorded only at one locality, i.e., in the sediment from the littoral zone of the upper Váh River near the village of Stankovany (Tirjaková & Vďačný 2013a).
