Amphileptus parafusidens — Tirjaková 1992a: 76.
Main morphological characters (according to Song & Wilbert 1989). Length 40–90 µm in vivo. Body narrowly to very narrowly drop-like, anterior end distinctly curved dorsally, posterior end narrowly rounded. Two macronuclear nodules with a single micronucleus in between. Contractile vacuole ventral and subterminal. Extrusomes ellipsoidal to broadly fusiform, about 2 µm long, few attached to anterior body end and several scattered in cytoplasm of anterior body half. Somatic ciliary pattern Amphileptus -like; 8–15 right and about 4–5 left kineties.
Distribution. Amphileptus parafusidens was found in a channel passing across the castle’s park in Rusovce near the town of Bratislava (Tirjaková 1992a).
