Material examined. Holotype: ♀, BURMA, Tanintharyi Division: Tharrawaddy, leg. E. Oates (NHML, examined) .

Other material examined. THAILAND, Samut Songkram Province: 1Ƥ, pumelo orchard, 13 December, 1998, leg. W. Vungsilabutr (EZTH).

Remarks. Clubiona melanothele can be easily recognized by the shallow, U-shaped epigynal atrium which is surrounded by the distinctly rebordered margin and the anteriorly located copulatory orifices. The spermathecal head is more elongate and slender in the female treated here in the present study and in that of Sumatra (see also Deeleman-Reinhold 2001, figs 53–54), whereas in the female collected in Laos (see also Jäger & Dankittipakul 2010, fig. 26) the spermathecal head is distinctly shorter.

Distribution. Myanmar, Thailand (new record), Laos, Indonesia (Sumatra).
