Sulu Sea:
• 09°54′N, 118°49′E; 1–4 m bsl: [FAO71] Type Locality: Republic of the Philippines, Palawan Island, Snake Island, Honda Bay, coral sand. Chang & Rho (1997b)

Remarks: This species is known only from a few subtidal localities in Asia, collected only in coral sand.
