Remarks. Illies (1963) assigned this widespread species to Mabille's Perla myrmidon on the basis of wing characters and body proportions described and illustrated in the original description (Mabille 1891). The type specimen found in the NMPC can be treated as holotype (Figs. 3–4), as the original description clearly refers to a single individual. The terminalia characters confirms Illies' assignation (Fig. 5). One of the paralectotype of Perla infuscata belongs to this species.
