Distribution. Recorded from many caves in the Italian Prealps, north-northeast of Vicenza (Minelli, 1985; new data); the species seems to be confined to higher altitudes compared to the adjacently distributed T. montellensis .
Remarks. T. tobias is host to the ectoparasitic laboulbeniacean fungus Troglomyces manfrediae Colla (Santamaria et al. 2014) .
