Type material. Agrilus gratiosus Deyrolle, 1864 . Described from inexplicit number of syntypes. Type locality. “Bornéo”. Type specimens. Lectotype ♀ (MNHN) (Fig. 4C) designated by Jendek (1998).
Examined specimens. MALAYSIA. Sabah: 1 ♂ (EJCB): “ Malaysia, Sabah, Sepilok near Sandakan, 24 June 1990, R. de Keyzer ”; 5 (USNM): “Borneo Sandakan Baker”.
Distribution. MALAYSIA: Sabah, Sarawak.
Remarks. Agrilus gratiosus appears to be restricted to Borneo. Records from Sumatra (Kerremans 1900) and from Sulawesi (Toyama, 1988) need verification due to possible misidentification.
