Mycophila fungicola Felt, 1911

Mycophila fungicola has a scattered distribution in the Holarctic region and was found also in the Hawaiian Islands, Australia, and New Zealand (Gagné & Jaschhof 2014). Most findings of this—and the following—species are from mushroom cultures (Jaschhof 1998). Previous scientific literature makes no mention of Mycophila occurring in Sweden. The Swedish specimen of M. fungicola reported here was taken from the wild.
