Rhopalopsole magnicerca group

This morphological group is defined by two paramedial bands along the posterior margin of tergum 9 and lateral projections of tergum 10 forming large plate-like spines. Species in this group usually also have boat-like subanal lobes seen in lateral view, with ventral flaps and distinct longitudinal furrows, hook-like epiproct and spineless cerci (Sivec et al. 2008).
